Sitting 110: Thinking for yourself
There are those of you who walk this life on earth trying, as you put it, to walk the thin straight line deviating neither right nor left and you try not to step out of line with what you suppose to be your true path. We would ask you dear friends, ‘what is your path’ and more important we ask who has defined your path that you must not deviate from. We would also ask ‘By whose authority do they take on the role of being your advisor in this matter,’
There is no one who lives upon this earth and there is no one in all the spiritual planes who has the authority to define your pathway upon this earth. Anyone, no matter who they are, who has taken it upon themselves to dictate to you what you should do is only telling you what they think you should do and we would advise you to consider all of the aspects, both for and against, of following that advise.
The Christian’s have a saying which we would draw your attention to which is. ‘The road to hell is paved with good intentions’.
We would ask you to consider this saying when you are advised to follow any set of rules which are not your own.
We would say to you that you should follow your heart when the mind is unsure. Follow your heart when in doubt.
Remember that those who tell you that they are the only way have only themselves to account for their authority.
