Sitting 113: The body as a suit of clothes

There are many things in this life which draw you closer to your Creator and there are just as many which detract you from the spiritual way. So many of you get so involved with the physical way of life that you become so entrenched in your ways that there comes a time when you have no inclination to delve into the spiritual side of your life. Many of you believe that such a life is a waste of your time here on earth and will do anything to lead you on to a religious path. We admit that there are times when the physical way should eventually give way to the spiritual way but there are a great deal of times when you should be and remain entrenched in the physical life. You are, after all, upon the earth so why should you not gain as much as you can while you are here. It is not as if you will lose anything because you will be spirit when you return to the spiritual planes and then you will be unable to learn anything physical then. The trouble with your way of thinking whilst on the earth is that you consider your present body to be a part of you which matters when in fact it is only like a suit of clothes which you will cast away when you are finished with it. So do not be concerned when a friend or relation, or anyone else for that matter steeps themselves in the physical life. They are after all getting on with their learning and they will, at the right stage of their development, become spiritually minded.

We are all spirit on the spiritual spheres so please allow your siblings to be as physical as they wish on the physical sphere.
