If love were made from kindly thoughts and never went awayThere would be peace on earth each day for love would find the wayIf love were made from kindly acts how could we get things wrongFor every act would draw us close into a happy throngIf love could spread throughout the air infecting all it touchedHow wonderful would be this life of happiness and trustIf love of all things living was everything in lifeThen we would live in paradise from birth right through our lifeBut earth is not like this you know and if it was, what then,For we would never come here, there’d be nothing to learnSo let us walk this earthly plain by sending love out every dayAnd let us take the bricks and stones and fashion them with love aloneInto a rock where all can stand in love and truth throughout this land
