Sitting 142: The winds of the earth

As the winds blow upon the earth creating gentle breezes which kiss the skin on a hot day with its cooling effect which can be a blessing, or it can be a little stronger and make things chilly on a cold day. It drives the clouds which bring the rains both welcome and at other times causing flooding and mayhem, then again there are the storms and hurricanes causing damage and making life miserable.

These uncontrollable aspects of nature go towards the renewing of life in all its forms on earth even though the initial impact of the action is to destroy some life.

The weather, as a part of nature, is responsible for much regeneration upon the earth and is the one thing which makes life on earth possible in so many diverse ways.

Life abounds everywhere from the bottom of the oceans to the tips of the mountains and is only there because it has adapted to the various conditions which apply to the different areas.

Life in the spirit planes does not seem to be like this at all, but, this only seems to be so because you are only able to comprehend a narrow portion of the spiritual spectrum. If you have thought about it you probably imagine yourself starting as a little dark blob of spirit who gradually grows both larger and brighter until you are a shining white spirit. Basically this is a rather crude description of spirit growth within the narrow band but what you cannot understand is the growth which occurs after you have reached the ultimate shining beacon which you think of as being the highest of the high. As you grow your vibrations increase which is why you can only exist on a narrow band at any one time and you leave behind the lower levels again and again and again through countless levels and become so rarefied that to the lower levels you do not exist except by the power of mind and it is mind that you will eventually reach with no need for any other attachments and when you have reached this stage you will have come to the end of the beginning of your life.
