Sitting 144: Disbelief in life after death

As you walk through this life you meet many who have no conception of a spiritual life and if you mention it you will be met by a disbelief of life after death and/or spiritual matters. The very fact that you believe such things will make some people wary of you and they will consider you a crank for your beliefs. Many of them will ply you with questions in an attempt to prove to themselves that you are wrong. Others will do the same but in an attempt to trip you up and yet others will be interested in what you have to say so that they can consider your words in accordance with what they themselves believe.

There is no easy way to tell whether they will react one way or the other and if you pick a religious person they could become quite agitated against you for your audacity in expressing what they believe to be heretic.

We would not, in fact we could not, find any fault with their beliefs for it is, after all, their truth, and you should never disagree with someone else’s truth. Remember beloved sibling that it is futile to persuade anyone that you are correct for if you do you will meet a blank wall and will get nowhere. Keep in mind that we all have different truths and never instigate talk of a religious nature. If spirit ever wish you to give any help or advice they will do so in their own way without you starting it yourself and once started do not expand on your answers, only reply to what you are asked.
