Sitting 153: The brain as spirit's tool

There are many things which we will tell you so that, while you are incarnate, you may understand a little better the way that you should go, not only of the physical way of life but of the spiritual way.

The practise of knowingly sending your love to every life which you meet whilst upon the earth is something which you must cultivate to the extent where you do it unthinkingly and constantly. If you can but understand that every life you meet upon the earth originates from a spiritual form then you have made a start in recognising what you are. And if you can also realise that all of the spirits are of the same origin and are of the same constitution then you have taken another step forward in realisation. The main and final step you need to take in understanding what you really are comes with the realisation that the physical body which each spirit takes up bears no relation to the spiritual level of the one who has taken up that body. Man, who thinks of himself as being a higher form than the animals or plants is deluding himself by this thinking and will eventually come to realise that his physical brain is only a tool which spirit use to raise the level of civilisation to higher and higher levels so that the spirit may progress to higher and higher lessons. Intelligent man invents nothing on his own. The basic principles are always passed to him by spirit, not for the benefit of man, but for the benefit of incarnating spirits who are on the earth at that time.

Remember beloved siblings that life on the earth is nothing more than a school and that the greatest prize which you can earn here is your love for others and their love for you.
