Sitting 175: Asking spirit about past lives

Beloved Brother as we gather this eve we would draw your attention to the misguided thoughts of some who, when they speak with spirit will ask them when and where they lived whilst on the earth plane.

We often wonder if those who ask these questions do so because they can think of nothing better to ask, or do they really believe that their visitors have only ever lived once upon this earth. If so was it 10, 20, 30, or even 40 thousand years ago, and again if so how can they relate the differences in life as it was then to life as it is now.

With this ever-changing life on earth do you honestly believe that the lives which our guides and helpers had bears any relation to the life we are having now.

Can you not see that the physical plane is continually changing in order that you will be presented with those changes and that the only thing about the physical plane which is constant is the continuous changes which occur.

Did we not explain last Eve that to stand still is to go backwards.

What happens upon this earth is irrelevant to your spiritual life except in so far as it teaches you that which you need to know. Everything you experience upon earth matters to the spiritual life but the earth itself and all that occurs here is just so much chaff and dross which will, in a relatively short period of your life, retire and fade away from your life into a nothingness which matters not a bit as you tread steadily forward in to the timeless future.
