Sitting 178: Life adapted everywhere

As you walk to the ends of the earth, finding all the different types of life which exists, each one perfectly adapted to the conditions which apply to that specific region do you not notice and wonder that some of these different bodies are so vastly different. You have life in scalding hot water and you have life in the snows of the Arctic and Antarctic. You have life at the bottom of the seas living where there are volcano’s and you have the birds of the air as well as the insects and not only that you have the spores of the plants which travel not only round the earth’s atmosphere but across space itself to other planets and from other planets to this one.

All that we have said here has been proved by your scientists and yet there are still some of your great minds who say that there is no life on the other planets or the other stars of the universe.

We would ask of these great minds once again. By who’s authority do you make these statements.
