Sitting 23: When the spiritual path begins

Beloved Friend, once again it is time to continue with our work and I would take tonight’s lesson as one which is important to everyone who resides on the earth plane.

During your life there is always a tendency to treat everything as though there was nothing else except the earth plane. But at some time during your life there comes a realisation that there is more to this life.

Some think for a little while and then forget it, and others find that it is too much bother to start worrying about something which may or may not exist. Then again others realise that it is important to bring their spiritual thoughts together and to follow the path which they seem destined to follow Others again seem to start their spiritual pathway almost as soon as they are born.

It seems almost as though you have no choice in the matter and that everything is set out for you from your birth. We would say to you now that yes this is the case, BUT, There is always your free will which will alter your path and, in fact, could dramatically change the things which you have set out to do. We cannot change anything which you decide to do. We can coax you but we cannot force you to take a certain step. All things considered we do the best we can to keep you on your path, but if you are determined to go a certain way then we are compelled to allow you to express your own free will.

This is why you find certain catastrophes and things like bombings happen. We do not like them any more than you do but where your free will is concerned there is nothing we can do to stop these things happening.
