Sitting 252: Vegetarians and choices

Beloved brother we would send our love once again as we continue with our service with our siblings and though we know that many of them will never read or comprehend what we say, there are those who will understand our meanings and will progress spiritually because of our work.

The time draws neigh when the lion and the lamb will lay down together but it will not be so upon the earth, for there will always be the need for our sibling animals to glean their nourishment by eating the flesh of others, for if they did not do so how then would they exist. We do not say that vegetarians are wrong for in their way they are only doing what they consider to be right and who are we to make rules for others to live by Nor do we condemn those who are carnivorous for the same reasons.

We also do not condemn the killing of animals for food, are we not, after all, the top of the food chain and are acting accordingly. What we do find horrendous is the method of their demise where chickens are hung up on a conveyor belt, knowing and watching what it happening to the others and that it is about to happen to them. Then there are those who are missed and go into the machinery still alive to be plucked and disembowelled. then there are the cattle who know what has happened to the others and will, after hours of waiting, happen to them. Think of their terror, and think also that they are treated this way for you, and only you can change things by refusing to buy food which has been treated in this way.
