Sitting 289: Work done while we sleep

Beloved Brother we would speak tonight of the unknown work which we all do during our physical rest time.

Whether or not we believe in the afterlife, even though we may believe that there is no God, and when you die that is the end of your life, so you return to the Astral Plane. So there you will continue with your spiritual learning and some of you will commit acts of service to your fellow spirits who are in need of your assistance so that they may progress spiritually. There are some of you who will come back to the physical plane solely to serve those who have gone astray.

For instance, there are some people on the earth who are so convinced that when you die you just go to sleep and that is the end of your existence, and because of their beliefs they do go to sleep when they die and remain there in that sleep state until they are found and woken. Sometimes they remain that way for a long time.

There are others who will find time to go and teach others in the schools of learning and yet others who will attend these schools of learning as a pupil.

The Astral Plane itself is an even greater teacher to us all than the physical plane because there you are on a higher vibrational plane of existence. When you go to sleep you not only allow your body to rest but you allow your spirit to recover from the dense vibrations which you meet when you draw near and on to the physical plane.
