Sitting 357: Thoughts
Beloved Brother we are here again and tonight we would speak of thoughts.
Each and every being has thoughts no matter the state of the brain which drives the bodies through this earth life, and we include the various planets etc. of the solar system in these words.
We know that most of you think that the animals and other beings do not have a brain developed enough to think as you do and we agree that you are correct. They cannot comprehend the workings of calculus or algebra but we would ask you the question " Are these thoughts needed to comprehend your lessons or experiences in their present lives ".
Within the mind of their spiritual being they can, if they wish, do as much mental arithmetic as you humans and much more, but, in their present bodies they have no need to even think that one plus one makes two so why do they need to be able to do these things.
Your present abilities are governed by your present requirements in so far as they fit in with the rest of the physical plane in so far as you are a predator or plant eater and this is the governing factor so far as your place on this planet is concerned.
It has no relation to your actual spiritual progress or lack of progress.
Your spiritual mind does not specify what type of body you inhabit on the earth. Only the lessons you need to learn specifies that.
Some of your plants are at a much higher level of spiritual progress than some of your human counterparts.
When you consider that very often, upon the earth, the ones who reach the highest positions are in fact the youngest of our spiritual siblings it brings into perspective the relationship of power and possessions upon the earth.
