Sitting 399: Suffering and the spirit's wishes

Beloved Brother we are here tonight that we may fulfil our desire to serve those upon the physical plane.

As you walk through this life on the earth there are times when you must do things which are seemingly not very nice such as putting an animal to sleep or cutting down a plant which has become deformed. It is at these times when you think that that is the best thing which you can do so that the animal or plant will not suffer more than it needs to. We would point out that from a spiritual point of view this might not be the best thing to do.

We know that everyone will tell you that to prevent more suffering is the best thing that you can do but have you considered that the spirit of the being might not agree with you and wish to continue to experience the suffering that it is going through. Much learning is given through pain and you could even be stopping the realization of some goal by stopping it. It is, after all, one of the reasons we come to the earth to experience pain and suffering.
