Sitting 414: The lonely and bereft

Beloved Brother we would speak tonight of the lonely and bereft among us for there are many who would welcome a friendly word and also many who would be glad of a little bit of company in their lives.

Many there are, in fact most of us, are lonely and sad at some time during our incarcerations upon the earth. They are not to be confused with those of us who are content and happy to be on their own. These people who would like some company are often shy and retiring and would not dream of imposing themselves upon others but you can usually tell when someone is lonely.

A great part of your service can be used to help them along and it is surprising how much pleasure can be given in a relatively short time to those unfortunate souls who find themselves in this position.

If you can then try and put some time aside so you can visit lonely people. Your reward will be to see their pleasure and upliftment.
