Sitting 432: Trying to live spiritually

Beloved Brother once again we are with you in your sanctuary so that we may spread the words of wisdom and love for tonight we would speak of those who try to live a spiritual life and who feel that they do not do enough for spirit.

It is true that most people believe that they could do more for their siblings and it is a state of mind which we all suffer from for we do not really understand that we have other things to do with our lives as well as in addition to our spiritual work.

So many of you think that because you are spiritualists you have no other duties than service to others.

This is not so as you see it for we have said before and we repeat it that your most important service in your life is to yourself before all others and you shall and must realise that though service to others is vital to your development the service that you give to yourself is paramount and that if you do not give yourself these opportunities to advance then you will have to have these opportunities presented to you again.

Remember the saying it is nice to be important but more important to be nice.
