Sitting 455: Those worse off

Beloved Brother it would seem that our pathway upon the earth is littered with rocks to trip us up as we walk through this life and with thorns to impede and change our pathway as we walk through this life.

All life seems to be a collection of barriers to what we wish to do and attain. All life seems to be a collection of trials and tribulations which we can do nothing to avoid.

On the other hand we seem to be surrounded by others who enjoy their life to the full, who have everything they wish materially and have good health and happiness. Oh how you wish you could have a life like that.

At the time you are wishing for this better life can you not stop and think of those who are much worse than yourself, of those who would dearly love to have enough to eat, or a bed to sleep in, or decent clothing such as you have.

Can you not see that your present life is governed by your actions and only you can change it.
