Sitting 51: The levels of spirit

Beloved brother we are with you once again and we would talk to you concerning the levels of spirit. When you are created you are a being of desires. You wish to experience everything you come in contact with and this is what you do.

It is inevitable that you quickly discover the lower grosser levels of spirit and you begin to revel in the experiences which you contact and you try the various different feelings gradually sinking lower and lower into the grossness until you come to the time when you begin to find these things become tiresome to your way of thinking and feeling and so you look for other things to occupy yourself with. You then find that the only way out of your present lifestyle is to improve yourself with first a little knowledge and having obtained that you wish to extend your knowledge and your abilities. It is then that you find you must begin to work on yourself by improving your general attitude to life and your siblings and at this time you take on a new outlook concerning what you want to be. This realisation is the spur to our desire to grow and so we take our first steps upward.

Our path from then on is similar to the earth life where we meet a time of sweet contentment which is followed by a time of trouble and unhappiness. And so you rise and fall, raise yourself upward and fall over your feet, pick yourself up and walk on for a while when suddenly you realise that your experiences have caused you to grow little by little and you find yourself passing through to a higher level of existence. Your Father/Mother God is still over the horizon, but he is a little closer than he was.

So, dear brother do we progress from level to level, from crucifixion to crucifixion, or if you wish from transition to transition, knowing that with each step you are a little closer to your dream.
