Sitting 56: The shepherd and his flock

Beloved brother once again we are gathered here so that we may serve our siblings. The blessing of our beloved God be upon all who read these words for to-night we would talk to you about the shepherd and his flock. You all have your individuality and you will defend your right to it with all the power you can muster, but there is one part of you which is always present and that is the need to be a part of the tribe.

We talk of the tribe of humanity of which you are a part. Those of you who are loners and take pride in being content with your own company will at times be grateful for another’s company, sometimes in time of stress and others when the need for companionship bears down on you. In times of pain and suffering and in times of great joy there is nothing quite so enjoyable as the company of others. This is all a part of your makeup and there is not one of you who can exist with the knowledge that you will never meet anyone else again. There is nothing in this life after the air we breathe and the food we eat which is more important than the company of others and we would ask you to make a point of greeting them with love and affection, even though they may return your greeting in a scurrilous way.

We would ask you to remember the following.

Greet the morning dew with gladnessThe dawn chorus with a smileThe animals with affectionAnd those who need assistance,Go the extra mile.Walk tall through every momentTake the hand of those in needAnd if you meet a briar patchThen love will kill the weeds.GYRON
