Sitting 8: False impressions of right and wrong
There are many things upon this earth which give everyone a false impression as to the correct thing to do in certain circumstances. Some people have the idea that life is paramount and refuse to kill anything which moves. They then go ahead and consume plants and weed the gardens and mow the lawns without thinking anything of it. What is the difference between killing an animal for food and killing a plant for food. Does the plant not have life, is there no spirit in the plant that it is not one of your spiritual siblings.
Everything which lives has spirit and should be treated the same as other living things. It is true that eating too much meat will fill your physical and etheric bodies with certain poisons and also with certain elements arising from the way that the animals are killed but this does not mean that you should refrain from eating all flesh. It is up to the individual person whether or not they should be vegetarian or not and no one should try to dissuade another to keep to something they should not wish to do. What is right for one is not right for the other so be careful when you advise others to do certain things and be wary of anyone who gives advice which you feel is not quite right.
