Sitting 83: A man who walked alone

Tonight dear friends we would talk to you of a man who walked a solitary life. To those who knew him he was a lonely friendless man and everyone who knew him felt sorry for him because he would make no friends and yet he was friendly and helpful to everyone he met. Nothing was too much bother for him and he always had time for someone in need.

He was quite well educated and seemed to be able to turn his hand to anything and everything which came his way.

So it was that this man who seemed to have everything he wanted except the one thing which everyone else needed i.e. companionship and/or the love of someone else.

As he walked the pathway of his life there were those who would envy him and others who would pity him for his solitary ways and, for them, his unproductive life for he had no inclination to improve his status or position in life.

And so at the end of his life he stood at the foot of his grave and listened to the thoughts and words of those who had gathered to pay their last respects to him. He was sorry for them then as they stood there feeling sorry for him because he did not seem to have attained any of their accomplishments for they did not know that he had been clairvoyant and clairaudient and that from an early age he had learned to keep quiet about all his spiritual gifts and spiritual friends who had accompanied him throughout his life with love and wisdom.
