Sitting 105: When the earth was young

There was a time when the earth was young and there were no spirits incarnating upon the planet for there was fire in every region and the atmosphere was full of sulphur and brimstone, and life could not live upon the face of the earth. Gradually things settled down and the crust of the earth began to solidify and the single celled creatures appeared and life began to proliferate and develop into plants and moving creatures.

So these plants and creatures began to evolve until they have reached their present state.

So they will change and evolve further under the influence of the changing circumstances that will prevail in the future and the higher forms of physical life will appear and disappear in the ebb and flow of earth’s journey.

You are probably wondering why we have brought this explanation of the progress of the physical life on earth to your attention. We would ask you now to consider the path of your own physical life. The constant change from two separate cells to your birth and the constant changes to your body from birth to maturity.

Both stories are one of growth, change, and evolvement, just as your spiritual life is one of growth, change, and evolvement, just as all kinds of progress is one of growth, change, and evolvement and not just on one level but on every level of progress from the birth of your spirit until eternity.
