Sitting 124: Past lives

Do you know dear friend that before you are ready to come to the earth plane you choose the name you wish to use during your incarnation. The name you choose is one which will fit the circumstances of your life and this is one of the reasons that numerologists can work out your character etc. though they may never have met you.

Sometimes, though not very often, your parents will select the wrong name for you which is why you find people who change their name because they do not like the one they were given. On the other hand there are those, like yourself, who select their spiritual name and are very happy with it.

The association between the earth name and the spiritual name is quite important in so far as it specifies the specific incarnation or aspect which you will refer to in the future.

We who are in spirit do not think about our times on the earth, just as you do not think much about your past life in this present incarnation. We are, just as you are, more concerned with what is going on at the present time to bother about the past but when we wish to recall the things of the past the memory of the name will help to recall the incident.

The memories of your life here and now would fill a book, and the memories of all of your lives would fill a library so you can imagine how the names help.
