Sitting 140: Prayer works both ways

We are here with you once again and the love of service is our theme for we would show you how simple and easy it is to be of service to those that you meet as you walk through your life.

We have drawn your attention before to the power of the mind and to the fact that when you send love to someone then that one will receive the love that you send. Your own physical being may not recognise that they are receiving your love but the spirit will know of the love that you send and will naturally return the love that you send. The same thing will happen when you send your love to all life for your love will flow away from you just as a wavelet on water will flow out to the edge of the water.

Your wishes for someone’s good health will, if sincere, act in the same way as will also your wishes for the general health and well-being of a community or for all life. The same thing applies with your prayers so that the recipients will all benefit spiritually from your kind thoughts. You too will also benefit from those prayers because they will all send back to you thoughts of kindness and love so it is a two way thing.

The fact that you do not see any physical difference makes no difference to what occurs spiritually and that is all that matters because you are spirit and only spiritual things matter to your real being.
