Sitting 424: No conception of God

Beloved Brother we would draw close again for we would speak of those who have no conception of God. It is not a bad thing for these people who do not understand that our Creator is there.

We could say that the animals and the birds and the plants and trees do not understand about God yet they come and live here just as you and I do and there is nothing to detract from their lives by one iota by not knowing about God. Why should there be any deterrent to their evolvement by not knowing that there is something greater in their spiritual lives. Do we not have better things than to understand that we are privileged to have this knowledge. Do we not reach higher levels because we know that God is with us always. Let us consider where we would be and what we would do if there was no God.

We would be doing exactly what we are doing now except for our worship and our life would be the same as it is now for we would still love others and we would still help others and we would learn our lessons and go through our experiences just as we do now. Do not feel sad that they know nothing of God for they are in the circumstances that they should be in, so where is the problem.
