Sitting 82: Strangers and friends

As you walk through this life on earth you meet many strangers and you meet many to whom you are immediately attracted to. Some of them become instant friends as others are very offish and do not really wish to know you.

The main reason for these likes and dislikes is the level of evolution that you and the one you meet are on.

Let us take someone whom you instantly make friends with. When this happens you can be assured that they are on the same level as yourself and this is the main reason for your instant attraction to them.

On the other hand you will meet those whom you can’t wait to get away from because they make you feel uncomfortable and ill at ease when they are around. They are in all probability very nice people who wouldn’t harm a fly yet you are uncomfortable when they are around.

The reasons for these feelings is that like attracts like and dislike repulses dislike, or to put it another way positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative.

Whilst the words likes and dislikes or positive and negative are not really correct they are the closest of the human language word we can use to express the idea of the differences we are talking about.

Let us put it this way. If you in your spirit form were to descend to a lower level say to meet an old earthly friend or to assist someone in need you would whilst you were on that level feel uncomfortable and if you were to be taken up to a higher level for any reason you would feel very inferior while you were there.

It would be the same feeling as that of the serf in the presence of his lord and master.

This is one of the many reasons you come to the earth, so that you can commune with those of both higher and lower levels of spirit and actually meet them on the same level. They cannot exist for long on your level and you cannot live on theirs so you meet on the earth so that they can learn to accept and you can learn to accept the differences in both of you. It takes many incarnations for all of us to learn and accept these differences because they are, after all, a part of your evolution.

Have you never wondered why there are so many people on the earth who cannot abide someone who is different. There is the colour of your skin and the religion you follow and the nationality you are and the fact that you do not have as much in property and money and there are the differences in your status in the company you work for or the services rank you hold.

We must all learn to accept that these differences are as nothing in our real life as we must learn to love all life no matter how different they may be.
