Sitting 104: The light you give off

There are times when we in spirit look upon you on the physical plane and we know by the light that you give off how far you have progressed.

In some cases we watch you grow brighter and brighter and then suddenly, because of your troubles, you grow dimmer as you go through the pains and anguish of those troubles and then we see you regain your former level of brightness and they pass and you begin once again to plod steadily on towards your present goal. It is good to see you overcome these trials and tribulations in you quest for advancement.

You yourself see only a life of ups and downs which leads you to wonder how all this can possibly be to your benefit. We would draw your attention to the young chick in the nest which, when the correct plumage grows, begins to exercise its wings and continues doing so until it can fly. So too do you exercise your spiritual wings whilst you are on the earth and when you have attained the required level of competence so too will you fly spiritually.

Our rather crude comparison was chosen because it does have a comparison which can be understood by many of you for the bird must learn to fly and you must learn to evolve and nothing else matters either to the bird or to yourself but the attainment of your goals.

We have said before that service is the only thing which matters in this life but do not forget that service to yourself is just as important as service to others.
