Sitting 147: How spirit guide us

We would speak to you tonight of the way that those in spirit guide their siblings who are incarnate for it is not very clear to many of you how we influence you. It is purely and simply done by the power of thought, i.e. we place a thought into your mind and you accept the thought as being valid to your situation at that moment and believe that you have thought of it yourself or alternatively you will think the thought and reject it as unsuitable or inappropriate.

Take as an example the way we work with mediums. The thought appears in the mediums mind that the person contacting them was of a certain height and had brown hair etc. etc. or they may even see the person in their mind but they are not really seeing the person, they are seeing the thought that spirit is sending them, whether it be as evidence of survival or as a thought which we wish you to think or a feeling we wish you to feel.

This is another reason why you are unable to understand what it is like on the spirit planes. Again we will say it would be like giving you the answers before asking the questions.

We would add however that when and if you ever find that you have left the body temporarily then what your spirit sees is a level of the spirit planes, even if it is only the Astral plane it is still spiritual reality and you do go to the Astral plane every night when your body sleeps.
