Sitting 75: The greatest commandment

It was Jesus of Nazareth who answered the question

‘ What is the greatest commandment ‘ by saying that it was ‘ Love thy God with all thy might ‘ and he added that next to it was the commandment ‘ Love thy brother as thyself ‘

When you look upon the people of the earth you see those who love all life. You see those who love their neighbours. You see those who love their friends and family. And you see those who love themselves.

There are those of a religious bent who love only those of that faith and will shun and persecute their own kith and kin because they are of a different faith.

They will torture and maim and kill, IN THE NAME OF GOD and think themselves to be quite Holy and Justified in doing what they do. The priesthood are no exception to this and even today you will find some of them who, ‘ In the name of God ‘ will aid and assist those who perpetuate these actions.

We are often sad at the actions of those who do these things. We understand that many things come about as a result of the lessons which we must learn. Just as we understand the reasons for Karma. But How, How, How can anyone do these things ‘ In the name of God ‘.

Most of you who read these words will know only too well what we are saying, and it is to you who know the validity of these words that we speak. There are times when this subject comes up and when it does you will no doubt find a way to gently guide those of this ilk away from laying the blame of these things on to God, and placing the blame of these things where it belongs. We would stress again the word Gently because if you are adamant about these things you will get nowhere, just as you would if you asked them to change their faith.

Dear brother or sister. Know that we love you.GYRON
